Lucien Delley is a social worker and sociologist. His research work aim to explore the relation between event, space and society. His PhD thesis (2022) is the result of four years of investigation carried out as security coordinator of the Montreux Jazz Festival (2016-2020). On an operational level, he has worked at the Week-end au bord de l’eau Festival in Sierre, the Paléo Festival in Nyon, and the City of Lausanne. He is also a founding member of iSSUE (Swiss Institute for Urban and Event Security). Currently, he is a lecturer at EPFL and is working on a book entitled « The festive production of space ».
