A brief history of Swiss club culture

Club culture as a mass phenomenon is a mirror of the Swiss public and closely interwoven with the history of our country - in social, economic, technological and musical terms. This presentation will look into the history of Swiss club culture and try to answer some of these questions: How did it come about that "parties" became the<br />
most frequented cultural sector? How did club culture become an economic factor, a "courant normal", an integral part of society, and increasingly also a political issue? In which ways is Swiss club culture developping in times of eventisation, diversification and digitisation?
